The Finger Points At You started out life as a guitar noodle on 12th May 2020. This evolved over the day into a first version of the track. At this point is was essentially just up to the mid section. By 3rd August 2020, an early version of the full track was demoed and by 25th October 2020 the basic final skeleton of the song was finished

Lyrically the song deals with the changing rhetoric we were getting from the government. Everything we’d been asked to do up to this point was now starting to be thrown back at us and we were being blamed for surging cases. But it really was the government’s fault and the finger was pointing back at them
