Uncharted started life on Sunday 5th April 2020. As the track took shape, so the idea of The COVID Diaries started to take root.

If you could say there was an initial concept for this song it was to write a song with a leady type riff in it. That was the starting point. Musically the song came together very quickly over 2 days and the demo was signed off after 5 days.

As I started to look at vocal melodies this is when the COVID theme started to emerge as I just sang about the lockdown situation happening around me. The Uncharted Waters part was the first bit I sang.

Lyrically, the song ended up being a call to arms around the subject of Staying home, keeping our distance and surviving this pandemic
